8-Time Pro Bowler and 3-Time All-Pro Officially Says Goodbye to the Saints, Shockingly Rents Luxurious $500,000 Home in Frisco — Fans Speculate He Has Reached an Agreement With the Cowboys

Posted May 21, 2026

Frisco, Texas – Cameron Jordan, one of the most dominant and consistent edge rushers in NFL history with 8 Pro Bowl selections and 3 All-Pro honors, has officially parted ways with the New Orleans Saints after 15 seasons with the franchise.

The Saints decided not to offer him a new long-term contract, making Jordan a free agent for the first time in his NFL career.

The veteran defensive end immediately sent shockwaves through the league after reports surfaced that he rented a luxurious $500,000 villa in Frisco, Texas — an upscale suburb located just minutes from AT&T Stadium, The Star, and the Cowboys’ world-class training facilities.

Fans quickly began speculating that Jordan has already reached an agreement with the Dallas Cowboys.

Jordan spent his entire NFL career with the Saints after being selected 24th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. He became the cornerstone of the Saints’ defense for 15 seasons, served as defensive captain nine times, and remains the franchise’s all-time leader in sacks.

The 8-time Pro Bowler earned First-Team All-Pro honors in 2017 and Second-Team All-Pro nods in 2018 and 2019. He was also named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team and holds the record for the most Pro Bowl selections by any defensive player in Saints history.

However, due to salary cap constraints and a shift in organizational direction, the Saints were forced to move on. That decision instantly made Jordan one of the most attractive veteran edge rushers on the free-agent market.

Just days after hitting free agency, Jordan caused a frenzy by renting a high-end home in Frisco — a premier residential area favored by many Cowboys players and executives because of its luxury, family-friendly environment, and short commute to the team’s headquarters at The Star.

The move has fans and NFL insiders convinced that Jordan has either already agreed to terms with the Cowboys or is very close to signing.

Although there has been no official announcement yet, Jordan’s choice to settle in Frisco — a neighborhood popular among current and former Cowboys stars — has only fueled the growing belief that he is heading to Dallas.

With the Cowboys still looking to bolster their pass rush and add veteran leadership on defense, Jordan’s experience, production, and locker-room presence would be a major addition for head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Micah Parsons’ unit.

No matter where he ultimately lands, one thing is clear: Cameron Jordan’s legendary NFL career is far from over.

Cowboys Shockingly Finalize Trade With Steelers To Acquire A $7.5 Million QB With 18,192 Career Yards And 120 TDs — A Player NFL Analysts Believe Is Younger, More Complete, And Cheaper Than Superstar Dak Prescott, Per Adam Schefter
DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys shocked the NFL community after finalizing a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers just before one of the most important stages of the 2026 offseason. According to information referenced by Adam Schefter, Dallas decided to add another veteran quarterback in an effort to completely reshape the current depth inside the quarterback room. In return, the Steelers reportedly received only a conditional sixth round pick in 2027 that could escalate into a fifth round selection depending on the quarterback’s playing time. What immediately made the trade controversial was the belief that the Cowboys view this quarterback as a significantly better fit for the organization’s current long term direction. Several NFL analysts believe Dallas wanted a quarterback who is younger, more complete, and financially less risky than Dak Prescott. Inside the Cowboys organization, uncertainty surrounding Prescott’s long term consistency and durability reportedly continued creating concern throughout multiple levels of the franchise entering 2026. That is why Dallas aggressively pursued a veteran quarterback with real NFL experience capable of stabilizing the offense if major problems emerge during the upcoming season. Meanwhile in Pittsburgh, the recent signing of veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers created an overcrowded and increasingly difficult quarterback situation for the Steelers. Pittsburgh still has Drew Allar, Will Howard, and several other young quarterbacks on the roster, making it unrealistic to continue carrying so many developmental players simultaneously. According to several league sources, the Steelers wanted to quickly solve their “depth chart headache” before training camp officially entered its most competitive phase. The quarterback Dallas ultimately acquired was Mason Rudolph, who previously spent several seasons playing inside the Steelers organization. Although Rudolph is no longer viewed as a major NFL star, he still brings considerable experience with more than 18,192 career passing yards and 120 touchdowns throughout professional football. The veteran quarterback also once set the Steelers’ single game completion percentage record during a pressure filled late season performance several years ago. His ability to remain calm inside the pocket, limit turnovers, and stabilize offensive structure were reportedly major reasons the Cowboys valued Rudolph so highly entering this trade. Several NFL analysts believe Dallas now views Rudolph as a “safer and more mature option” instead of continuing to rely entirely on Dak Prescott’s unpredictable development. One source close to the Cowboys organization revealed the team believes Rudolph can stabilize the entire quarterback room almost immediately once the season officially begins. “The Cowboys do not need Mason Rudolph to become a superstar in Dallas. What they need is a mature quarterback capable of stabilizing the offense, protecting the locker room from weekly uncertainty, and reducing some of the risks they have continued worrying about with Dak Prescott. That is the real value behind this trade.” For the Steelers, the move helps relieve roster pressure following Aaron Rodgers’ arrival while creating additional space for younger quarterbacks to develop long term. Meanwhile in Dallas, the Cowboys reportedly believe this quiet trade could eventually become one of the most important decisions connected to their entire 2026 NFL season.
